Introduction:
The
classical guitar is wonderfully suited to the contemporary
wedding ceremony. Many couples plan outdoor or garden ceremonies,
and the pastoral nature of the guitar can create just the
right atmosphere.
I
have played music for weddings in a wide variety of settings;
from ceremonies held on the sands of the Pacific Ocean, to
those taking place in the beautiful Spanish missions of California.
I
also play renaissance
lute and baroque
guitar. For something quite special and unique, I encourage
couples to consider the lovely sounds of these instruments
as an addition or alternative to the classical guitar.

| Ceremony Services: |

Prelude music - This is usually selected from
a variety of traditional classical and Spanish repertoire. I
am in place 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time, and
ready to play for guests as they arrive and are being seated. |

Processionals - Sometimes specific music is
chosen for the seating of grandmothers, mothers, etc. The maid
of honor, bridesmaids, flower girls and ring bearers will have
a special piece of music selected for their entrance. The music
then changes for the brides' processional. I can play the traditional
wedding march (Wagner), which sounds very well on the guitar,
or any other piece which may have been requested. |

During Ceremony - Generally no music is required,
but certain types of services have a candle-lighting ritual,
rose ceremony, or just a meditative interlude where some music
would be appropriate. When this is the case, song selections
are often left up to me, but I will gladly play any special
requests as well. |

Recessional - Again, I can play the traditional
wedding recessional, (Mendelssohn) or whatever piece the bride
and groom have chosen as an alternative. |

Post Ceremony - Most wedding parties move
quickly to the reception, so I will play one or two pieces as
guests are departing, unless other arrangements are made. * |

quality and special nature of the services I can provide. Please
